T1 have recently been in controversy for hiring stunnerFPS a former pro PUBG player who was caught cheating in a PUBG event and banned for one year. After the ban he went into fortnite and then apex when he played for some apex teams he claims that he had to stream with a hand cam to show that he wasnt cheating. Many reputable figures in the community such as Hypoc and MitchMan have criticized the decision to hire stunner because of his past as a cheater. Their argument to hiring him is "he hasn't served his time" which is a very common argument for cheaters switching games after being banned in a different game. However, there are many people who have cheated in different games and are now pro players a example of this is B1GGY (ex csgo coach and now current player for XL esports) who participated in matchfixing vs overgaming and abused the coaching bug during his time on Team Heretics. Should he be banned? But the most interesting thing is Frod (ex t1 coach currently coaches beastcoast) says that he was forced to trial him by management and he wasnt good. Personally i think that people who have cheated in previous games should serve the time ( IBP is a good example because they stayed in CS and admitted they did wrong after) and then they can reflect on their actions (stunner affected many people's careers in PUBG and i believe he shouldnt get the job). T1 are becoming more and more hands on with the valorant team and i feel like it will come back to bite them later down the line.
In the forced trial, I was forced to continue to try to work with him when he couldnt even book a scrim properly. Strat help was Twitch clips of matches I already watched.. insane innovation. Guy was a brick but he told Wawa he's smart 24/7 so naturally he got a job duh
